SERENITY

In the second edition of the weekly colour report for our Spring – Summer Collection, we are focusing our attention on Pantone’s second Colour of the Year.

Pantone’s Serenity shares the honour of being a Colour of 2016 with Rose Quartz, which we put the spotlight on last week. This peaceful shade of pastel blue is a weightless, almost ethereal colour, which certainly lives up to its name; Serenity is a transcendent colour, exuding an aura of calm and tranquillity.

Much like the rest of our Spring – Summer palette, Serenity can be mixed and matched with a beautifully varied array of tones, allowing you to create a unique, personalised motif in your home.

Take your blue interior to a hidden depth of escapism and elegance by plunging some Snorkel Blue into your decor. This relaxing tone of navy blue is a beautifully chic complement, adding a deep, oceanic undercurrent to Serenity’s airy overtones.

Give your space an optimistic and summery touch by incorporating Buttercup into your home decorating ideas, radiating an atmosphere of innocence and childlike joy. Wooden floorboards add an earthy tone to a room, highlighting the natural beauty of Serenity and also generating a natural warmth and class.

Peach Echo lends a playful and quirky dimension to an interior, while our Clarke & Clarke Ariadne’s Dream Linen fabric, which we can transform into beautiful bespoke cushions, gives a funky and lively element to any room, creating a colourful and artistic focal point. Why not complement your beautiful Serenity curtains with a set of white shutters? These will help to fashion a clean and spacious feel in your interior, as well as adding an extra level of privacy. These can be purchased from our sister site, Shutters Direct.
