Green Flash: Spring – Summer Weekly Colour Report

Our Spring – Summer 2016 palette features a fantastically diverse array of different colours. Last week, we showcased the beauty of our base colour, Lilac Grey, but it is now time to put the spotlight on, perhaps, the farthest away cry from this gentle and neutral tone.

This week’s Colour Report focuses on an explorative, almost primal tone, which encourages interior designers everywhere to take a bold leap into nature. Green Flash is a vintage hue that provides a stark contrast from the rest of our colour palette, radiating an openness that contrasts with the other colours, without overwhelming them.

An unashamedly optimistic shade, Green Flash is reminiscent of the vibrant and eclectic pop culture of the 1980’s, generating an electric and lively buzz in any decor. This really is a feel-good colour, and is best suited with other positive and spirited shades, such as Buttercup and Limpet Shell.

Geometric patterns dazzle and add sophisticated intrigue to your decor, and a roman blind made from our gorgeous Prestigious Cube Saffron complements the bright shade of Buttercup, beautifully. In contrast, the use of browns, such as Pantone’s Iced Coffee shade, will add an earthy tone to provide substance and grounding.

Tall floor lamps will make your home feel spacious and airy, thanks to taking up minimal space but emitting a warm glow that will fill your room. At the same time, a selection of small wall mirrors will enhance this airy feeling by reflecting the light throughout your home, creating a truly palatial motif. A subtle touch of white paint, such as around the window panes and the skirting boards, will provide a classic complement to the rest of the room, while also helping to add to the cool and open feel.

Chic and contemporary tones of Limpet Shell and Aqua inject a cool edge to subtly stand out from the assortment of other shades, while Peach Echo is a quirky and fun accompaniment to the brilliant Green Flash.
