At Roman Blinds Direct we love fabric. And with great fabric comes great responsibility. From funky patterns to statement colours, our fabric packs will give you the material you need to make something unique this year. Our bundles include a wide variety of colours and patterns, including hand-picked selections from our high-end designers.

Our crafty team members have been pinning away, selecting their favourite craft projects to try. So, whether your resolution is to be more creative this season, to try something new, or you just love getting crafty, here is some inspiration so you can create some wonderful gifts for your loved ones… or for yourself!

  1. Crafty cards

Use the fabrics in our packs to make a magnificent card, and with Valentine’s Day being a day of love and sentiment, it’s the perfect occasion for giving a handmade gift; one they’ll treasure forever. Contrasting fabrics make it truly unique and you can add your own personal touches to make it that extra special.

  1. Beautiful bunting

Why not try your hand at some home décor? Bunting looks charming in any room and is suitable for all ages. Drape across the mantelpiece for a delightful addition, or hang around the kitchen window for that splash of colour. The possibilities are endless. Also, studies have shown it instantly puts a smile on people’s faces, (we think?).

Catching dreams

Boho is very in at the moment, and it loves contrasting bold patterns. Create a stunning dreamcatcher by attaching your fabrics to a ring for a unique and rustic affect. If you’re feeling adventurous, have a go at crocheting a centre for the ring, or use string to make a geometric pattern.

  1. Creative coasters

There’s nothing better than a cup of coffee in the morning, and what makes it even better is having something jazzy to place your mug on. Avoid those desktop coffee rings with a funky fabric coaster.

  1. Funky fabric baskets

Fabric baskets; a more adventurous crafty endeavour, but worth it nonetheless. A useful addition to the home, use it to hold your shoes, your magazines, or better yet…your craft tools.

  1. Yes to yo-yos

This idea is something a bit different…fabric yo-yos. They’re great for young kids who haven’t quite fathered out the more complex yo-yo. Simple to make, all you require is elastic string, a button, a bit of stuffing, sewing kit, and last but not least, some brilliant material from our fabric packs.

  1. Glam up your gadgets

Technology is such a huge part of today’s world, and our lovely fabrics are the perfect way to accessorise your gadgets. From laptop sleeves to mini bean-bag stands for your tablets, accessorising your gadgets is a great way of showing off your crafty skills as well as our lovely fabrics.

  1. Seasonal specials

No, those aren’t real carrots! They may not be edible, but they’re certainly adorable. These fabric carrots are a colourful project for the Easter holidays.

  1. Jam-packed with treats

Let the rabbits eat the carrots, Easter is all about the chocolate. Create these lovely pouches for storing the kid’s sweets and treats. Or change the sizes for use all round the year. From sunglasses to medication, they’re a delightful, colourful and handy receptacle.

  1. Simple and effective

For those of you who are feeling a little frightened of crafting world, don’t panic as you can use our fabric packs to make simple accessorises such as lids for your jars. Simply measure and cut, then use colourful string or elastic to secure. Sorted. We can’t wait to see what you make, so tag us in your creations @InteriorGoods. Happy crafting from all of us!
