Lilac Grey: Spring – Summer Weekly Colour Report

Every collection needs a neutral base colour, but that doesn’t mean the neutral shade in the palette should be dull in comparison to the rest of the spectrum.

For our Spring – Summer collection, the neutral tone for 2016 is the ultra-chic and contemporary shade of Lilac Grey. This brooding and mysterious shade is by no means a drab addition to any decor; the subtle infusion of lilac into the classic base tone of grey adds a modish and sophisticated twist, which is certain to stun.

One of the gentler shades to be featured in Pantone’s spring collection, Lilac Grey is the perfect base colour to mix and match a diverse array of other tones to fashion a beautifully unique decor.

Stripes create the illusion of space and add a vintage touch to any room. The classic elegance of Prestigious Carmen Sable is the perfect complement to Lilac Grey; being very similar in colour, a pair of curtains made from this fabric would lend a timeless grace to any interior.

Add a bold and vibrant contrast to the greys in your motif with a striking injection of Buttercup. To soften the blow of this vivid yellow shade, why not incorporate some accessories in gentler shades, such as cushions made from a tranquil Azure or Duck Egg blue fabric?
